Psalm 46.

Whatever others prize,

whatever they may idolise,

if it does not last,

if it will pass,

if it can be taken away,

if it can fade, decay,

if it does not the self itself save,

if it does not defy the grave,

then they sell themselves cheap,

invite much grief.

Of addition what the cost,

what lessened, what lost?
