A Problem With Fruit.
Here's how it is.
I like an orange better than an apple
but I like a banana better than an orange.
And yet, does this make sense?,
I like an apple better than a banana.
So, offered an orange for an apple, I'd swop.
Then offered a banana for that orange, I'd swop.
Then offered an apple for that banana, I'd swop,
the very same apple I started with.
Do you see? Do you see?
Shown all three and asked to choose one,
and this really happened last week,
my eyes just went round and round,
my mind in a mist, my head in a twist,
till I mumbled the wobbly excuse,
though it's very near to the truth:
' I ... I ... I have a problem with fruit!'
