Psalm 38.
One cannot but be drawn,
beholding the brightness,
unsought yet ever witnessed,
even the eye itself a shining example,
likewise flames, candle and fire,
all that sparks, ignites, blazes,
the glitter of rippling water,
wherever light on liquid plays,
gloss of oil and glaze of vessel,
glow of hair, no matter where,
glint of metals, all rendered precious,
alike resplendent in glass and jewels,
the lamplight's radiant web,
dust-motes scintillating in a sunbeam,
the sheen of fruit,
the flash of the truth,
indeed, the brightness of everything,
all things luminous in their own light,
the liveliness of every single scene,
of every freshly minted moment,
as ever bright, ever new,
the creation shines through.
