On The Trail Of The Lonesome Snail.
Some say the snail
leaves a bright trail
to find his way home
when he's out all alone
in the night.
But everyone knows
wherever he goes
his home goes as well
in the form of his shell.
Isn't that right?
Whatever he meets,
no need to retreat,
except back in his shell,
there all safe and well,
in out of sight.
As for the trail
all silver and shiny,
is it 'cause the snail
is so very very slimy?
Well it might!
