Poor Robin.

In the garden,

the cat, having caught the intruder,

 proudly brings me his trophy,

a robin, quite dead.

Outraged, I swipe at him,

but he deftly evades any contact,

leaning right back on his paws

to look at me in amazement,

 a look that clearly says

that I am no longer right in the head.
